Festive and fun. This recipe is a hit with kids cause it’s messy and you pretty much get permission to play with your food. The idea came from this beautiful green smoothie I had made.
Slice fruit of choice: apple, pear, strawberries, grapes, peaches etc.
1 cup almond or cashew butter
3 Tbsp spirulina
1/3 c unsweetened almond milk
1/4 c pure maple syrup
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1. Mix all ingredients in the blender, until a thick mixture forms.
2. Pour into a bowl.
3. Slice fruit, and dip each piece.
4. Place dipped fruit on a glass tray covered in parchment paper.
5. Sprinkle with shredded coconut, and pop in the freezer for about 25 minutes.
