This is all part of our body’s natural survival mechanism —to help keep us alive during times of famine. Sugary foods represented safe foods, and our ancestors would naturally be attracted to eating them. Since they never knew when their next meal was coming, they would eat in abundance.

You’re also less likely to overeat because your body has been given premium fuel. The body knows the difference between what’s real, and what’s not. It will respond differently to fast food vs. real food.
