Don’t be fooled by fantastic marketing.
Would you believe that a Clif Bar + Reese’s Pieces have the same amount of added sugar?!
It can be hard to imagine, but sadly, it’s true.
This can be a real wake-up call for people who are under the impression that energy, protein and meal replacement bars are healthy.
This is yet another reason to check the ingredient lists on the back of packaged foods. You will likely be astounded to see where processed/refined sugar falls on the list on many “healthy” foods on the market today. The closer to the top of the list, the more sugar added to the product.
We have to stay one step ahead of the food industry. Reading labels is one the best, most eye-opening things we can do to educate ourselves about what we’re really eating.
You can make your own delicious power balls at home and have more control about the ingredients you consume.
