Dandelions  –those “pesky” weeds that grow all over the lawn, are in fact a fantastically detoxifying, liver loving plant. 


Ingredients

  • Wild dandelions, including the flower, root + leaves 

Note: Be sure to harvest from an un-sprayed area. Avoid harvesting weeds close to busy roads and highways. 


Preparation Method

  1. Carefully harvest the plant with a garden spade, from the root up. 
  2. Let dandelions dry in the sun, until all the moisture has been removed. As an alternative, you can slowly dehydrate the plants on trays in the oven -on the lowest temperature. 
  3. Once your harvest has been dried, the plants can be roughly chopped, and store in glass jars until used for tea.
