Dandelions –those “pesky” weeds that grow all over the lawn, are in fact a fantastically detoxifying, liver loving plant.
Ingredients
- Wild dandelions, including the flower, root + leaves
Note: Be sure to harvest from an un-sprayed area. Avoid harvesting weeds close to busy roads and highways.
Preparation Method
- Carefully harvest the plant with a garden spade, from the root up.
- Let dandelions dry in the sun, until all the moisture has been removed. As an alternative, you can slowly dehydrate the plants on trays in the oven -on the lowest temperature.
- Once your harvest has been dried, the plants can be roughly chopped, and store in glass jars until used for tea.
